Jürgen Lange

Jürgen Lange (born 1940) was trained as a cabinetmaker. Following his apprenticeship he studied industrial design with Arno Votteler at the College of Fine Arts in Braunschweig. In 1968 he established a business in the areas of product planning and product design and in the following years designed furniture and seating for living rooms, kitchens and offices, but also consumer electronics. In 1972 he became a guest lecturer at the Indian National Design Institute in Ahmedabad. 1981/82 he worked as a guest lecturer and from 1983 to 1986 as a professor of ergonomics and furniture design at the School for Design in Offenbach.
